Hi, I'm Michelle 👋

I'm so happy that you're here!

I’m an eager, overachieving entrepreneur who learned through losses, failure, and burnout that God had different plans for me.

I now share stories about how Christ has changed my life.

I'm learning each day to stop relying on my own strength and fully depend on Him in the good, the bad, the hard, and the easy. It’s now my goal to help others to do the same through my stories and devotionals. I hope you'll follow along.

More about me

Michelle J. Givens

I'm a Christian with a long backstory. After growing up in church, I turned away from the Lord. For 10+ years, I sought to fill my emptiness in all the wrong places.

Once I made it to adulthood, I found success in the American sense of the word through true grit. After a successful engineering career, I ran a business full-time with my husband for 12+ years. In the midst of that work hustle, life ensued. I had 2 fun-loving children and took care of my mom in our home after her ALS diagnosis.

Watching my mom battle ALS with incomprehensible peace and strength, I learned that all we really need in life is a deep connection with the Lord. That's when my life was forever changed.

In 2022, I lost my mom, my unborn child, and my 15-year-old puppy dog. It was after enduring the hardest year of my life that the Lord revealed to me that he had different plans for me than working in the company my husband and I had built together. That's when he called me to write my first book. A book that tells the story of how my mom's suffering brought me closer to the Lord.

I'm currently writing this heartwrenching, hope-inducing story. While I am writing my book, I still share stories, devotions, and other creative works that the Lord puts in my heart on my blog.
